We clear the brush, pull the stumps, grub the roots and rough-grade so the land is usable again. Overgrown lot or new build site, the job underneath is the same.
From overgrown to build-ready
Knocking the brush down is the easy part. If the roots stay in the ground and the grade is wrong, the lot looks cleared and still isn't buildable. We do the whole job: clear, grub, grade, haul.
- Brush and vegetation clearing. Blackberry, scrub, salal and years of neglect, cut out and removed.
- Small trees and stumps. Smaller trees come down and stumps get pulled or ground out. Large or hazardous trees we coordinate with a faller.
- Grubbing. Roots and organic material dug out, so whatever gets built on top doesn't settle later.
- Rough grading. The cleared lot shaped and levelled, ready for foundation excavation or a driveway.
- Haul-away and disposal. Debris chipped, hauled, or kept on site. Your call.
- Fuel-reduction clearing. Thinning brush and deadfall around structures to cut the fire load. On a dry-summer lot, that risk is real.

Walk the lot
We flag what stays and what goes, then check the slopes, the rock, the setbacks and how a machine gets in. The quote comes after the walk, and it accounts for what we saw.
Clear and grub
Vegetation out, stumps pulled or ground, roots grubbed, keep-trees protected. We work to your property lines and whatever setbacks apply.
Grade and hand off
Debris hauled or chipped, lot rough-graded and tidy. If a build is next, your builder gets a site they can start on, or we keep going with the excavation ourselves.
Thin soil, thick brush, real setbacks
Rocky, forested lots
Plenty of lots out here are thin soil over rock, grown thick with fir and second growth. That changes which machine comes in and how we get it onto the lot. We plan both before quoting. See where we work.
Watch the water
Clearing near creeks, ditches and shorelines is regulated. We keep the required setbacks and plan the drainage while we plan the clearing, because a cleared lot that funnels winter rain at your building site is an expensive fix later. More on the drainage page.
The good trees stay
Most clients want the mature trees kept. We clear around them and keep the machine off their root zones. What's left looks cared for instead of clear-cut.
