Patios that stay flat, fences that stay straight
Most patio and fence failures are groundwork failures. Pavers heave when the base under them was never excavated and compacted. Posts lean when they were set in soft ground. We're an excavation company first, so the base under a patio gets built like a road base. That is the work we come from.
- Paver patios and walkways. Excavated to depth, gravel base compacted in lifts, laid to shed water away from the house.
- Decks. Footings, framing and boards, built for a climate that rains eight months of the year.
- Privacy and boundary fencing. Posts set plumb in solid ground, lines pulled straight.
- Farm, acreage and deer fencing. Long runs and tall lines for rural lots where the deer treat a garden as a buffet.
- Combined yard builds. Retaining wall, patio and deck done as one job with one crew.
- Grading and drainage underneath. A patio that ponds is a drainage job waiting to happen, so we sort the water first.

The base decides the build
Walk the yard
We look at slope, soil, drainage and access before quoting. If the yard needs grading or a wall before a patio makes sense, we say so in the quote, where it's cheap to hear.
Build the base
Excavate to depth, place gravel in lifts, compact each one, set the slope. This is the dull stage that decides whether the patio still looks freshly laid in ten winters.
Finish and clean up
Pavers laid and locked, posts set and rails hung, boards fastened down. Spoil hauled out, site left clean.
Rain, clay and rocky ground
Clay punishes thin bases
Wet clay moves. A paver base sitting in it shifts with every freeze and every soak. We dig past the soft material, build on compacted gravel, and slope everything so winter rain runs off instead of under.
Rocky and uneven ground
Some lots hit rock or hardpan the moment you dig a post hole. We bring machines sized to the ground you actually have, so a fence line stays on schedule instead of stalling on the first hard hole.
One crew for the whole yard
We also do excavation, land clearing and gravel driveways, so a yard can go from overgrown slope to finished patio without you coordinating three contractors.
Covered, and around afterwards
Insured and WorkSafeBC covered on every job. When the build needs upkeep later, pressure washing or fresh joint sand, our maintenance side handles it.
