What we've built

Paving stones, retaining walls, decks, drains and demolition across the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley. Here is what recent jobs looked like and what the clients said afterwards.

10,000 sq ft

One paving-stone and retaining-wall project, carried start to finish by a single crew.

01Featured project

Built in phases, one crew throughout

Roughly 10,000 square feet of paving stones and retaining walls, built in phases. The design changed as the job went, which is how real projects go.

Work at that scale lives or dies underground. The base is the part nobody photographs, and it is the part BC's wet season tests first. Get it wrong and the surface heaves in one spot and ponds in another within a couple of winters. So the base got done properly before a single stone went down.

Planning something similar? Start with retaining walls or driveways & paving, or just call and describe the site.

"The Clearway team was reliable, knowledgeable, and professional throughout. They coordinated a large-scale project managing around 10,000 square feet of paving stones and retaining walls while navigating numerous unforeseen challenges. They adapted to my evolving design ideas and handled the logistical complexities of transporting materials and working with suppliers. The finished project turned out beautifully—I've had countless people stop to ask who did the work. I highly recommend Clearway."

02Before & after

The same yard, twice

Real jobs, photographed on the day. Left is what we walked into. Right is what the client got back.

01

Tiered walls and paver steps

A sloped back yard cut into terraces. Segmental walls hold each grade, with paver steps and a landing tying the levels together. See the service.

02

Rotten deck to stone patio

The old deck came out, the ground was dug and compacted, and large-format slabs went down with timber steps up to the house. See the service.

Small yard wall along the walk

A loose dirt slope beside the walkway cut back, then held with a capped block wall that steps down with the grade. See the service.

Overgrown lot cleared and graded

Brush and growth stripped out, then the ground graded so water runs off the site instead of sitting on it. See the service.

03On the job

What it looks like mid-build

The part nobody photographs is the part that decides whether the surface lasts. Here is the crew partway through.

Crew laying pavers over a compacted base
Paver field being set and cut to pattern
Finished paver patio and seating area
Slab patio and drainage rock alongside a new deck
Garden path partway through, base in and pavers going down
The same garden path further along, edges cut in

The last two are a garden path mid-build, not a finished shot.

A landscaping build, start to finish, sped up.

Snow and storm callouts

When it snows, the same crew is out clearing lots and driveways. More on snow & seasonal.

04In the client's words

They hired us twice

"We couldn't be happier with our two landscape projects that were completed by Clearway Site Services; one in 2024 and recently in 2025. Each involved a variety of work from demo, site preparation to wood construction and paver installation. Billy and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish, from quote to completion of construction. They always had a can-do approach to anything that came up during the process and were quick to pivot even when we made revisions mid-stream. We love our new outdoor spaces and would not hesitate to recommend Clearway to anyone looking for a reliable, honest and competent contractor."

The second call is the real review

Anyone can look good on one job. The Larsons brought us back the next year for a second one, demo through site prep to decking and pavers. That only happens if the first project held up through a winter.

Every job is insured and WorkSafeBC covered, and you deal with the owner directly. When a project crosses trades, a bit of demolition, some site prep, then decks or pavers, one crew carrying it end to end is what keeps the schedule honest.

Called about pooling water

Kelly's driveway had sunk in spots and held water after every rain. That is the failure this whole page is about: the pavers were fine, the base under them was not. We dug it out, rebuilt it to depth and reset the stone with the fall it needed.

Same problem on your driveway? Read how we build paving stones, or just call and describe it.

"We hired Clearway Site Services to fix the sunken pavers on our driveway because water kept pooling every time it rained. We had a few companies come out to take a look, but some never followed up, and the quotes we did receive were much higher than we expected. Billy came by the very next day, explained exactly what needed to be done, gave us a fair and competitive quote, and let us know when they could start. The entire process was easy and stress-free. His crew arrived on time, worked hard, and left everything spotless when they were finished. Our driveway looks amazing, and the pooling water is finally gone. What I appreciated most was how friendly, respectful, and happy everyone on the crew was. It's not often you come across a company that takes so much pride in both their work and how they treat their customers."
